ACH re-Open

Athens Chiropractic Healthcare and Integrated Medicine are coming back to serve you during your time of need. Our office temporarily closed its doors on March 13th in order to protect our patients, staff, and families.

Chiropractic care in the state of Georgia had been declared essential and we closed our doors to give us time to learn how to best protect our community. During the 6 weeks, we received calls from many of you in need of our services.

We had a soft reopening in May and were able to help patients while simultaneously perfecting our new safety protocols.

The following is a limited outline of the steps we are taking:

Upon arrival at the office, patients will be asked to call or text the office letting us know you are here. *Please wait in our new waiting room (aka the parking lot) until you are instructed to enter the building. We are asking that you remain in the vehicle with windows up. This is for the safety of clients moving to and from their vehicles. Only the person or people being treated may enter the office. Some exceptions will be made; for example, during the care of a minor.

A temperature and simple screening questionnaire will be completed before entering the office.

Patients will be required to wash their hands (20 seconds or more) and be masked when in the office.

ACH will provide a clean mask to everyone entering the building. Please leave your mask in the car.

Please use the restroom at home. Our bathrooms are available for emergencies only.

Distancing guidelines will remain in place inside the office.

Patients will be escorted from the room to check out and scheduling desk in order to limit exposure to other patients and staff.

Credit and debit card information will be requested during scheduling your appointment over the phone to limit exposure and increase the efficiency of the check out process.

Clinical staff will be wearing N95 protective masks, gloves, sanitizing all touchpoints between patients, and taking all possible precautions to decrease the risk of exposure to both themselves and their patients.

In addition, please inquire about Telehealth to continue your rehabilitation and exercise with ACH. We are pleased to offer this as a solution to keep you on track to your path to good health. In closing, I would like to thank all of you for the support many of you provided me personally during this time. I have received numerous texts and Facebook messages expressing concern for myself, my family, the staff here, and the practice.

Although I am sad that face shields will be blocking your smiling faces, I am looking forward to seeing many of you soon. It has been incredibly difficult for me as a human to not be able to use my skills to help you during this last month. Please stay healthy, happy, and well.

Sincerely, Joel T. Groft D.C. Athens Chiropractic Healthcare Integrated Medicine of Athens Website 706-227-3292
